Since its inception in 1997, Twin Ministries has grown into a recognized force in inner healing and counseling, partnering with churches, government agencies, and professional organizations. The ministry quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to faith-based therapy, addressing deep-rooted traumas, addiction, and generational healing through scripture-backed counseling and educational programs.

  • Established Christian Counseling Network (CCN) (2016) to provide faith-based therapeutic support.
  • Expanded partnerships with governmental and nonprofit organizations to develop faith-integrated counseling strategies.
Honoring Caron Assan’s Legacy

Following Caron's passing in 2009, a scholarship fund was established in her memory to support education and ministry. Her legacy continues to inspire young leaders and professionals dedicated to serving communities through faith-driven social work.

Our Founder

Dr. Sharon Apopa

From the age of five, Dr. Sharon Apopa knew she was called to bring change and transformation to the lives of others. Her passion for service and unwavering faith propelled her through an impressive academic journey, earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology, a double master’s in social work and management, and a doctoral degree in Ministry. Each step of her education was marked by divine provision, opening doors to career opportunities that aligned with her purpose.

With over 40 years of dedicated public service, Dr. Apopa began her career as a school counselor before transitioning to Bermuda’s Social Services Department, where she played a pivotal role in child protection, adoption services, and clinical social work. Her leadership and expertise culminated in her appointment as the Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute, Bermuda’s sole psychiatric facility for children and adults. Even after retirement, she continued to serve the community as a Litigation Guardian, where she currently holds a supervisory role.
